Claudia Zweig. Nightstands. February 11th , 2018.
Whether you use a small table and only keep a clock and a lamp on it or pick one with several drawers and shelves and fill them up, having a nightstand will cut down on complication in your morning routine. If you have a large bedroom, you may even want to have two nightstands to fill the space.
Add Light. If you want to brighten up a dark room, they can also do that for you too. Reflecting light of a mirrored surface and into a room is an easy way to make it seem more spacious and airy than it really is. It is also just a great way to keep it from being dark and gloomy. Since they also reflect images of whatever is near them many people use them to highlight other decorative pieces in the room. If you want to show off an antique vase, carpet, or ornamental plant you can use your nightstand to do so.
Add Depth. Small rooms often feel cramped and uncomfortable. With a mirror nightstand however, you can make it seem deeper and wider not only from the light it reflects but by creating an illusion. This is a trick used by many interior designers for small rooms. Mirrors naturally create an illusion of depth which tricks your eye and brain into thinking a room is larger than it is. If you don`t want to knock down any walls to make a small room look bigger, the one or two of these nightstands can really do the trick.
As a Classic Piece. First consider the classic use: as a bedside table! If you have never used a nightstand or are thinking that you don`t really need one, take a look at the benefits of bedroom nightstands. A bedroom isn`t the same without that place to keep the alarm clock and stacks of reading material. Your nightstand is where you will know your glasses are when you wake up. Having a nightstand also cuts down on clutter around your bed. With shelves and drawers to keep things contained, your bedside necessities won`t get damaged by being stepped on in the middle of the night.
You could bring the nightstands together with perhaps pineapple shaped bases on the lamps that you put on each nightstand. Carrying a theme through is what makes personal decorating so very much fun.
